Default Alternator and Pulley Covers

are they necessary? I'm just curious. I've already removed the ram air scoop and solenoid cover...which don't seem too horribly important. But I'm not sure if the pulley covers are designed with a purpose, and that alternator cover seems to have several lines clipped onto them. Is it okay to leave these lines dangling if I remove it?

Why even bother remove them? There is nothing to gain from it.

Well I'm more curious to see if they serve an actual purpose, or do they just make the engine look more organized? As well as whether or not those lines attached to the alternator cover are okay to sort of angle around on top of the engine.

No real purpose. Other than to keep stuff from falling into the pullys or alternator vents.

those "lines" are your throttle cables. if you unclip them and they get caught on something, you could be very screwed.

I wasn't sure what the lines were, but if infact they are the throttle cables don't mess with them.
