Smile hello, new to area!

Hey guys, I just wanted to introduce myself to you guys up here in the NE. I just graduated from Penn State, and took a job in Groton, CT building subs for the Navy. I've only been in town about a week, and seen a ton of RS's and a few WRXs. Just wanted to say that I look forward to meeting ya'll and that going to some track days and autocrosses as soon as the paychecks start coming in.

I thought I saw a thread a few weeks ago that talked about a big NESIC get together the weekend of the 25th. Is that still going on, if so can you guys let me know where it is and how to get there from 95? Thanks!

hmmmm, although I changed my profile to the new state it still says PA, hmmmm

In all seriousness, you have stumbled across probably the best region (yes I'm biased). Welcome again

Forget about RSes and WRXes, watch out for a silver Legacy GT. I'm sure you'll hear from Pat Olsen himself.

Hey, Nat, I'm a submariner officer stationed at the Subase in Groton. Welcome to the area! There are a couple RS's and WRX's on the Subase, but nobody is as "into it" as I am. But, I'm "into it" enough for 10 people, so I probably make up for their lack of interest in the NESIC community.

As of now I have every intention of heading to the NESIC meet on the 25th, so we can figure out how to meet up in the next few weeks and drive over together. I'll also hook you up with the local auto-x info - next event is the 26th.

Hey guys...thanks for the hellos! Paul, unfortunately the goat is in the garage back in GA. Getting 4mpg on that 455 with gas prices up here I don't think I could afford to drive it. Plus I'm not too big on her sitting outside, she deserves a garage. We'll se what happens in the furture though, I would have to find som way to get her up here, trailer or shipped maybe?

Pat-------was that you I saw last week at Woody's garage by the sub base? It was a silver Legacy GT and I thought I saw a guy with red hair......isn't that you? I'll have to get in touch with you here in a few weeks so we can meet and drive over.

To everyone else.......thanks for being smartasses that's what you NESIC guys are good for, right? That and post whoring? Ok, that about wraps it up for me, I'll try and make it out to some meets here as they show up. Later!

I have a solution to your problem! Just send me a plane ticket from Logan Airport to somewhere in Georgia. Include the keys to the GTO, and a gas card in an envelope. Arrange for me to be picked up and taken to the GTO. I'll have your car to CT in about 2-3 days. Let me know so I can arrange to take off work. I'll leave you the keys to my RS so you know I'll come back..

Thanks for the offer Paul . I think I'll keep her south for a bit......but when the urge arises I'll keep your offer in mind, hehe.
