I have a spearco TMIC from a minnam kit for sale- it's not huge, but i ran 22 12 second passes in one night with it- so it's not horrible either. $350

but you also said you wanted biggest possible, what is your turbo set up? wrx parts or aftermarket, cause if its not wrx parts it will be annoying to use any wrx type IC.

right now my setup is a fully built turbocharged ready EJ25 SOHC that came with my 2000 impreza. no wrx parts, all custom. i just want something bigger than what i have, and cleaner than what i have, that will fit in between my firewall and throttle body with no modifications, stock intake manifold, except for the fact that it has been extrude honed and a bored out throttle body, but nothing has been done to any parts to change the measurments under the hood

In a nut shell....yes. Most people will make it fit by cutting the IC to TB opening on the IC back and rolling a new bead.

so if you dont currently have any stock parts on your setup and its all custom why do you object to getting a custom one done?

your best bet is a spearco intercooler bar and plate core, i think mine is 18x6x3 which was part of the old ludespeed kits, you could probably go a little wider if you wanted and a little deeper but you would need to change the angle into the TB a bit.

ok, the reason why i dont have a custom ic made for me is that i just got done putting in name brand internals into my engine, (PAUTER, WISECO, TECHWORKS, COBB, SUBARU, DARTON, ARP, I CAN GO ON AND ON)...K? nuthing "STOCK". and, i just wanted to know if an sti intercooler would fit becuase, i would also like to dress up my engine bay along with upgrading my ic. kill two birds with one stone? I would like to have an ic that looks as good as it can perform, preferably something with a brand name on it to stand out when i pop tha hood? any suggestions?
thats bascially all im looking for. yadidamean?

I'll send you the pics tomorrow morning.... If you like them, let me know.. as far as painting goes... Do something custom, something that stands out.... If you just put an STI intercooler.. yeah, it looks nice, but what makes you different from everybody else. I would paint something different on it.... or polish it....

the forced air tech TMIC's look great in my opinion, good flow design too with rounded end tanks and such.

Good point...you want the brand name to stick out...just like with your Pauter and Wiseco pieces

A polished bling bling FMIC will look tons 'better' than a Stock STi intercooler. Quit bitching when people respond with their opinions, get a custom IC and make sure to get a roll call down the door for all your fanboi's out there.

True, a front mount would look good, but i dont really wanna throw down about 13hun for a kit, just to show some bling, which might hurt with the pressure drop.
I was quoted like 14hun for the APS kit... too much

... i just wont even say n e thing bout the bitchn part
