Default My AT started stalling as i come to a stop

I think im going to take it to the dealer. Today the engine shuddered and then shutoff 3 times. Once i had to stop to pick a friend up who was walking. I was in drive and i had to put it back in part and restart it. It also did this twice as i came to a stop and was stationary for a few moments at a red light. The A/C seems to have something to do with it as each time the A/C was on (i stopped turning it on....). I was wondering if anyone had experienced this and or knows what might be causing it. I have a 2.5T AT 04 with 25,000 miles.

You might be having idle motor problems.When the A/C compressor comes on the idle motor should raise the idle up to a fast idle for the load on the engine.If your not getting a fast idle when the A/C comes on the load can cause the engine to stall.The idle also raises up when turning the wheel from the load of the power steering pump.Good Luck

so your saying i should try and adjust the idle? keep revs up when im coming to a stop? or are you saying that this is probably the problem but i should just leave it to the proffesionals

Do Not adjust anything. Leave it to the trained subaru guys. It could be a trans problem, an IAC (idle air control) prob, timing, AC compressor starting to sieze, lots of things. If something is adjusted before you get there they'll have to fix that, then try to fix the original issue. The auto turbos have a throttle by wire (no throttle cable) and the computer does it all in relation to your foot/pedal position. Dont change nuttin.
Anyways, it could be something as simple as your AC compressor bogging your engine down too much when the compressor clutch kicks in. Make an appointment
