Default CEL Code 1507

P1507 Idle control system malfunction (fail-safe)

How do I fix this, what part needs to be replaced? Do I even have to worry about this? Cost?

This code indicates that the ECU is unable to obtain the desired engine idle. The usual cause of this is a sticking or otherwise failed idle air controller. Sometimes the IAC can be successfully cleaned, if this doesn't work it may need to be replaced.
Also look for vacuum leaks and other conditions that affect the idle speed.
