Default Best Legacy??

The whole Love/hate thread got me thinking, which Legacy is the best (besides the Blitzen B4 and the new legacy). Weigh the majority of your thought on the overall car not just looks or performance or the cup holders.

90-94?

95-99?

00-04?

Hardly!

I prefer the 92-99 wagons and the 00+ sedans, as weird as that may sound.

+1 for the Hardly! I had my head gasket replaced under warranty.

The new generation Legacy is awesome, but I wish it had my car's interior.

'93-'96 Legacy RS twin-turbo. Only 250ps, but also only weighed 1320kg - 2904lbs. Despite having smaller tires and less power than the 97-99 280ps twin turbos, it was much quicker, especially through the corners. Especially through the corners. It's only with the new car that I've started to match the speeds of that original.

Cheers,

God I wish I could get my hands on a JDM Legacy TT! How much do those go for in Japan? like a 95 5 speed (or 6 if they made them)?

Even though you said besides the new ones, the new ones are the best. (Old school turbo ones are cool too.)

Just so you know, they didn't fix it, they improved it but there was a re-call for them where they would put a coolant conditioner which is meant to slow leakage and hopefully prevent it. My HG blew with 80,000kms!

I like what I've got.

If you had included the BL/BPs I would have gone with them. BP of course.

I do think the 05 MY is the best Legacy really. It finally has the power it deserves plus an upgraded interior. I am still partial to my 99 Legacy GT Wagon, with the few mods I have it can handle with the Audi, BMW, Lexus of that generation.

Right now? About 6 to 8 grand for cars with low mileage and in good shape. Maybe a bit less than that.

I said 00-04 partly because I drive one and partly because I didn't see an 05 choice.

6-8 grand for something as fast as an STI and way cooler... Too bad its close to impossible to get a JDM legacy legal over here, maybe I should move to Japan.

'90-'94. The early Legacy RS-RA is where it's at.

Besides that I'd vote '95-'99.

I really like the looks/feel of the BG.

Outside of the HG's, it's a great car.

In the next 1-2 years (I don't want to be beta boy) I may go with a new turbo wagon.

one issue i do have with the BE/BH's though is they are the heaviest legacies with the least weight reduction options.

Actually, Weight loss is easy for me and another BE owner up here, although it does not involve the car, and uses willpower instead!

If you want a Manual you may want to reconsider. There will be no MT offered in any level of GT wagon next year. Pretty sure I read it in the news & rumors section...

But, of the choices the BG is definitely my pick.
