Legacy oil in exhaust

got a 92 legacy stn/w it was sitting iddle at a bro's place, for almost a year its an auto. Ive put a new radiator in, hooked up the transmission and loaded it with fresh oil. it has been back on the road for almost two weeks now. my problem is Ive discovered oil coming out the tail end of the exhaust. i'm thinking two things ?

The oil dipstick shows the engine has a little bit more oil than full. and Maybe the oil from the exhaust is a discharge of the excess ?

or is time to move on from this car,

appreciate any advice or recomendations that fellow Subaru lovers can offer

Is it burning oil, i.e. blowing blue smoke? Other than through the combustion chambers, there's no way for oil to get in there, and it almost never makes it through unburnt. Oil generally doesn't make it all the way back to the exhaust without something being seriously screwed up. I think you'd be complaining about other things if that much was messed up.

Incidentally, are you sure it's oil and not water? Some water in the exhaust it normal; you get condensation up in there overnight.

I agree with Al, check to see if what you are getting is more like black water rather than oil.

I would hardly see oil making it out the exhaust (as a liquid) without many other issues.
