Do you know are there any specialized people or company can help in writing a cover letter and resume?

If you are a student at the U of A or alumni, I think CAPS has cover letter and resume assistance services.

Any of the community or private colleges will have a course you can take. I've found that writing it yourself is a lot better since you know what the best aspects to portray are.

I know (if you're a student) that hire-a-student has help on writing and will know of good people or companies.

I think you'd be really surprised all the help you can get from the government. From resume help to mock interviews and job search strategies. A buddy of mine took advantage of them. Very similar to what the University career centres offer, but free to the public.

What kind of work are you looking for? We are in the oil patch business. I figure anyone that buys a subaru should have a good head on their shoulders

I write letters every day to cleints and sometimes they're not dealing with the most pleasant of topics.

Also, my Bro-In-Law is in the kind of business that helps people do exactly what you're talking about. I've learned a few things over the years from him that may be of assistance.
