Default The Infamous Plug wires popping off

Ever since i got my car the plug wires have been popping off. The day i got it i found 2 of them just sitting in there not fully connected. I did a search and found this to be a problem with alot of the magnecor wires. Well i went out and looked to see what kind of wires i had. They are blue NGK wires. I can't find anything bad about these wires on here. Is it possible that i am experiencing the same as the magnacor's. That the spark plug isn't long enough for these wires??

Heres the old magnecor thread
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...park+plug+wire

plug wires ain't cheap...but i should probably get them replaced anyway as it is quite annoying

Go with the stock plug wires. You can get them for about 30 dollars. Nothing is better than stock when it comes to plug wires. Nothing! Why pay a lot of money for something that doesn't do a thing for your car, except cause problems. Stock ones were designed for your car and will work flawlessly. Just my opinion though.

Stock plug wires. I made the mistake of buying magnecor wires and they ended up going bad on me (and popping off randomly).

I think there's a how-to on how to keep them from popping off here or on scoobymods.com

do some searching . you'll find it.

OEM plug wires are like $30 from a dealer, maybe, $40.

Heard it's usually not the plug wires but the plugs themselves not being the right size... there's a fix thread somewhere... I know there's some recent activity on rs25.com on a thread about the fix.

I had the same issue with Bosch wires as well. They tended to get loose and burn up where they connect to the coils (the coils that have the output that looks like the top of a spark plug).

Stock wires seem to be the least hassle for any model year Suby.

Could always just paint the wires the color you want

My dad had a 98 RS that he put Ngk's on and they popped off too. Although I highly recomend Ngk wires, stockers are the only ones that seem to stay on phase I EJ25's
