Default You voted, here are the results - Steel Grey Bugeye

Recently (OK, it was like 2 months ago, but I've been busy) I posted a poll: what color to paint my WRX. Gun metal was the favored choice, with the write-in vote of BMW Steel Grey.

The people have spoken, and well, here it is, in BMW paint code #400, Steel Grey! I've not even dusted it off yet!

BTW - I'm thinking of leaving the trunk de-badged... mayben not even putting the WRX logo back on. Opinions?

hood looks nice, you gonna paint that mesh?
those pictures are kinda low-res, can't really tell the quality of the paint at all.

anywho, nice color and glad you're happy.

Got some 17" Volks in the garage... planning on re-powder coating them, as they're oldies and have a little road rash.

Wish I had some better res pics - the good camera has a dead battery right now, using the standby. better pics tomorrow

what no kit? some better shot would probably help us viewers at home see how pretty the paint really is.

i dunno, i like it stock.

do paint that hood mesh black though, it would look much cleaner.

and maybe EDM headlights.

but then you're finished.

and if i were you i'd keep the wrx badge off and put a GC style WRX decal on, like the old ones used to have when they made them in that kind of color.

That hood is sooo kickass! The color is beautiful too, you made a great choice!

Personally, I would put the WRX badge on there. It does look very nice with it all naked like that, but I've always been a fan of leaving badges on, lets people know what kind of car it is (if they don't know).... but this is me who has a huge subaru banner on my windshield

Car looks FANTASTIC!

If I had the dough to paint my car, it'd be that exact color. Great choice!

So you're saying TreySTI is also "posing" off someone else then?

Sorry but Trey wasnt the first to use the BMW steel grey.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...BMW+steel+grey

I'm not sure the link above was even the first. I recall another that wasnt 86f or the ferrari grey but didnt find it searching.....And there was 1 or two others before Trey as well IIRC.
