Default Maiden Voyage to Bandimere for the REX

I finally took my Black WRX to Bandimere speedway last night. It has 1990 Miles on it. It weighed 3202 Lbs. with me in it and 3/4 tank of 91 Octane. My mods are a TurboXS HP boost controller and an Injen Cold air intake. I was very impressed almost 1 second faster than i had guessed. For those who don't know the track elevation is at 6000 Ft. and the Density Altitude last night was about 8000 Ft. according to my Tag weather station.

I got in three good runs.

Run #1 14.63
Run #2 14.64
Run #3 14.51

Here is the breakdown of the 14.51 run

60'- 2.114
330'- 6.074
1/8- 9.349
MPH 75.50
1000 12.147

1/4 14.514
MPH 95.37

I think with a better 60 foot and 100 Octane fuel 14.30's would be within reach.

Here are picture of the car and my other cars

Did you get your Rex at Valley? I got mine off the same truck that someone else didn't even want unloaded until they were there. Now that is what I call love....

What do you think of the turboxs mod?

I got mine at Burt. I think the TurboXS boost controller is the single best $100 I have ever spent on a mod.

Hey Dustin...where do you live? It looks like you live right by Ralston Creek? I live on 74th and Deframe St. I drive the blue rs with the yellow painted grill and hood scoop.

Congrats man! It's great to know that elavation does not kill our cars like we thought it would. With a Turbo XS unichip and a lower 60' time we should be hitting 13's!!!

That's pretty good, davem_sh or something like that ran a 14.8 at Pueblo Motorsports a few weeks ago with just a boost controller on his WRX and stock intake/stock exhaust.

I am hoping for a low 13 or high 12's next week at bandimere on race gas, or with my timing controller back in the car...
