Question Subaru extended warrranties- classic versus gold

I am getting an extended warranty for my 05 Outback. My question is....does anyone have opinions on the Subaru classic versus the Subaru gold warranties? I am getting a 6/100,000 and I can save a few hundred by getting the classic over the gold. The classic looks to cover quite a bit. Opinions??? Thanks

Get the GOLD. It covers the most. Right down to a cigarette lighter. It's just like health insurance. Get the best you can and hope you never need it.

Gold,

I have had a few complaints from people when classic plans would not cover a item. Gold is certainly the way to go.

I had a 6/100,000 Gold plan for my Impreza. I am glad that I went with gold because I had one repair that only the Gold plan would cover, not the classic. I would totally recommend the Gold all the way.

I had the gold plan (5yr/60kmiles) with $100 deductible for my RS...I got it for free since it came with the car when I bought used

I have only used it once to fix my wheel bearing and O2 sensor...warranty expired last week if you know what I mean

Plus you get extra benefits with Gold, such as $100 towards towing (only $50 w/ classic), Roadside Assistance, Trip Interruption expense coverage, Road Hazard Tire protection. None of that is covered under Classic. Gold is basically bumper-to-bumper with the exeption of wear items like brake pads, clutch, light bulbs, glass, trim, etc.
