do an ebay search for the springs and struts. You can usually find them both new and for a lot less money. The struts are from an ebay seller that always has them. I posted the guy's name on here several months ago. Several others got them too, as they are a good price. I think it has gone up, but it still is $100 or more cheaper.

PS: your last sentence is non-sensical. A strut is the same as a shock. You mount that to a strut top with the sping "in the middle" and then into the car.

Are you planning to keep your old end-links, or order new ones with your aftermarket swaybar? Using a performance swaybar with stock end-links will only net you half the benefit of a nice bar. Generally you would want to combine an oversized performance bar with quality end-links....

Boxer4Racing is cheaper on the struts by $50. The eibach springs are the same price though.

Edit: And I'm probably gonna start a war here, but the strut bars are a waste of money. I put the front bar on mine, and it's basically turned into a piece of bling that's worth $150+shipping. It did absolutely nothing for me. I'd get a rear swaybar instead.

Agree with Perdue on the strut bar thing, especially front. rear you could make more of an argument for it being useful, but unless they are triangulated their usefulness is limited. The front, with the strut towers being so close to the firewall, does very very little. Without having an otherwise very tight suspension set-up and doing heavy track racing benefits will be almost nil.
As for strut and shock being the same thing they are not. Koni offers shocks for Subarus (an insert to put in your STRUTS). The strut is the body piefce that contains a shock absorber.

here for struts: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33590

seller is good and struts arrive new, in original boxes.

no good deals on springs right now, but if you are patient you will probably find some.

Have you already ordered the struts?

I am getting Megan Racing/Apex N1 coilovers for 2002 WRX in about a week and a half ($800 my cost) and am going to do a write-up on how well they fit into BG/BD.

Someone who was selling a set of JIC Macig FLT-A2s measures all the mounts for me and to my surprise, the lowers are all identical to the my 98 Legacy, and the uppers on the front are the same bolt pattern rotated 180 degrees and the rear uppers are identical. The front uppers can be spun around to utilize the camber adjustment, and my car is within 50 lbs of a WRX, so it will be pretty exciting to see how it pans out.

Just something to think about before going and buying some expensive suspension stuff.
