Its time I start looking at my options for brakes, and I'd like to stay under the one-grand mark. Right now, I'm trying to piece together a setup consisting of FHI 4 pots, SS lines, slotted and cryoed rotors for the front and back, and upgraded pads all around.

My real question is whether or not the FHI's will fit under my BBS RK 17x7's. Any help would be great. Thanks!

One more question- what are the benefits of using 2 piece rotors? It does save weight, correct? What else?

97legacygt - The FHI 4pots should fit underneath your RK's. When you move to the FHI 4pots you're also upgrading your 10.9" rotor to 11.4".

2-piece rotors have several benefits associated:
(a) reduced unsprung weight to improve suspension responsiveness
(b) reducing rotational inertia to allow for quicker acceleration (in + & - direction)
(c) isolating heat from the braking surface from the hub/bearing assembly, thus increasing the service interval for the hub/bearings for a longer period of time
(d) increasing fuel efficiency
(e) lower operating costs in the long run (ie: replacement discs are fairly inexpensive)
(f) better brake cooling
