Post Good dealership in/around Toronto area

Can anybody recommend a good dealership for 02 WRX in Toronto?
I've been to the one at Yonge&Finch, they seem more or less ok, but they didn't want to budge at all on MSRP, also didn't want to give me a test drive...

thx.

Default Oakville

I just visted the Oakville dealership and they had an impressive amount of Impreza's, and other models as well as a lot of accessories that they had live and in colour, from shirts and caps to full front end covers. They had a fairly big showroom which had a 02 WRX Rally blue with all the possible options including a really nice leather package. It also had carbon fiber trim package that looked really nice.

I went shopping for a WRX a few months ago and my WR Blue wagon is due to arrive any day now. I was not at all impressed with the Oakville dealer. They basically told me I had to give them $40000 up front for a car without ever getting a test drive, and if I didn't order one right then, I'd be waiting at least a year to get one. Then I asked to drive a 2001 2.5RS and they refused as well. Their reasoning was " We have to sell these cars, we can't go letting people drive them." What the..?!?

Anyways, Gemini Motors in Kitchener & Newport Motors in St. Catherines were both good. In both cases they gave me the keys, told me where the cops hid, and where the twisty roads were and said "have fun, see you in 1/2 an hour". I called ahead though to book those test drives.

Check the toronto subaru club too, I believe they have found a Toronto dealer who will give reasonably good deals on WRX's.

I bought my RS at Subaru of Mississauga over 2 years ago. I went back for the first time last month and the salesman recognized me. We even talked about the weather we had on the day I picked up the car! Anyway, those guys seem pretty good in sales. I was considering the WRX and they gave me a test drive, but I was not impressed. They also would not discount the price below list. They said "head office will kill us when we submit the invoice if we discounted it". Anyway, I don't know about their parts and servide departments, I do all my work myself.

Trento Subaru was OK. They installed my ACT clutch kit for free when they rebuilt my tranny a few months back.

Thumbs up Oakville Subaru!

I bought my RS @ Oakville Subaru. I would not say they can beat other dealers in terms of best price (every dealer will try their best to sell you a car), but you will be happy with their parts & service departments.
They are very "mod friendly" & dedicate to accessories (OEM & their own custom made stuffs). Even if you ask something they don't know about, they will turn to Toronto Subaru Club members & try to help you all the way.
If you are looking for a good dealer, Oakville Subaru should be one on your list!

I got mine from Stratford Subaru.
They got me a blue one in 2 days, negotiated a decent price and treated me great.
I must say that Iqbal (my salesman) was great.
I know that Toronto dealers will not budge from the price. I negotiated my deal by emailing a number of dealers and giving them exactly what i wanted. Then I said give me your best price.
2 said list
1 said lets talk
1 (stratford) gave me a price right away
2 never replied.

It may be worth the drive.
