Default Suby swap or just general electronic people

Ok here is the problem, for those of you who don't know me, I have a 1997 legacy wgn.
The car came with a 2.2 sohc and 5 speed trans.
I recently dropped in a dohc sti ver 3 turbo motor.
I found out the sohc ecu will run the motor just fine below 4k(oddly enough I know), but poorly above.
I need to run a non turbo dohc ecu for now due to budget limitations untill I go to standalone.
I have been trying to find a dohc manual transmission ecu between the years of 96-98 but I can't find them.
I know the 2.5 ecu will work, but what years will work?

My first question is, if my car maf or map...maf right?

Secondly, what ecu's out there will work on this car?

If anyone know...does anyone have one?

Any ideas appreciated...please...lol

Thanks a ton for any help in this matter.
-ME

Default Perfect power

Have you looked intot he perfect power unit from rallitek?

Its not to crazy in price, maybe it can change the values enough to the ecu your using and make it more friendly. Just a thought, it could also be good practice for a full stand alone programing.

Thats my plan for it.

Hey man,
No actuually, it was a ver. 3 sti ra motor(no clip), which was then linked to a ver.6 tranny. Which I actually ran off of the sohc ej22 n/a ecu for a while.

The new clip is also a ver.3.

I am however going to go with a ej22t/ej20g/ej257 hybrid dealy here soon.

Stay cool,
-Tim
