So whats the deal with electronic superchargers are they even worth your time, or could you slap one on and tune it with a safc2. If this isn't the worst investment ever could you beef up the supercharger with more volts or some thing to control the boost?
Plan on using it on a 98 2.5rs

What type are you talking about?? The $80 things that do nothing. Or the big electric units that require extra batteries and what not. Either way your better off with a belt driven supercharger if you go that route

I found plans to build my own (http://www.gaprojects.com/supercharg...ric/super2.htm) something I could spend 2 or 3 hundred dollars on. That includes construction materials and a SAFC for little extra power & control. I don't intend on dishing out $5,000 or more on a jakson racing charger kit not including the $1,500
stand alone ecu you would need. No I just want to see what everyone thinks of this experiment, if it works great if not then im stuck with a $150 fan. |

Its up to you to decide if you want to experiment with it. I don't see it creating any boost though. maybe at idle, but above that your probably stuck with $150 fan

The description says it all, does not require "precision work of any kind." Do you want to be attaching a chinsy piece of non precision hardware to a $20k precision car? There is a reason why turbo and supercharger kits cost what they do. It takes ALOT of precision work to get it right.
