Default Need part-out / return to stock / sale advice

I'm currently living in Bangkok and for the last six months have been paying for the depreciation on a wrx that is garaged, insured, and not used. It doesn't make much financial sense to keep it since after a short stay in the states I'll be returning to Bangkok for another 6 months. I'd like to sell the car while I'm home. My question is:
Better to try to sell it in its current state, or better to return it to stock?
'03 WRX WRB ~28k miles.
Mods:
Helix Up [catless]
Helix Down [catless]
Cobb catback single-tip
V7 STi Intercooler
Cobb ECU tuned for 91 OCT [Stage 2?]
JDM STi hood scoop
JDM STI Spec C Splitter
Cusco Adjustable Swaybar
Helix endlinks
Eibach springs
STi engine tranny mount
Rally armour flaps

If I decide that it is better to return it to stock then I'll be offering great deals to anyone who helps me return it to stock. I have neither tools nor a garage. If I do go this route then I'll start another thread with the details around Aug 1.
If you know anyone who might be interested in the car as it is now, or as it will be when returned to stock let me know. The car has been garaged most of its life and is currently garaged in Alexandria.

Thanks for the advice,
MER

I think Part-out then sell it stock - You'll probably get the most money out of it.

If those parts stay in the car the usually depreciate the value or the value of the parts basically disappears or appears as an overinflated car price....

(that is just 1 opinion)

No, its lots of people's opinions. Aftermarket parts don't really increase the value of a car.

Nothing increases the value of a car. You can say "but I just bought new tires +$500" but that's just ridiculous. That's maintainence, and doesn't add value. People don't want to believe this, but it's the truth. Nothing, absolutely nothing, adds value to the car. The only thing that adds value to a car is a buyer willing to pay for it.

I'm interested in the STI intercooler, splitter, and possibly the scoop.

Dibs on the mud flaps.
If you need a garage/tools to do the unmodding you can use mine.
I could host a demod party/gathering if you wish.
We could have that puppy back to stock in no time.

It's probably worth parting it out.

And if that's the Group-N hardened tranny mount, I'd be interested in it.

Default thanks!

Thanks for all the advice...
Decision: PART OUT

As I said in the first post, I'll start another thread during the first week of August giving information about when/where I'll be returning to stock and selling parts. This will probably be happening in or around No. VA, in or around end of August. Car needs to be sold by November 1.

I'm not going to honor any 'dibs' at this point because I don't want to disappoint anyone who ends up waiting until September to get their parts; since I have all the stock parts and won't need to do any 'exchanges' I'm inclined to let the people who help me take the mod-parts off and put the stock-parts on have first crack. If you know your def. going to be at the part out then fine, PM me when I get up my 'part-out post' and I'll give you dibs.

EDIT: I would have to 'exchange' the cobb mapped ECU for a stock unit. In an ideal world someone would take all the up/down pipe, catback, and ECU (and then give me their stock unit). As for running 91 octane map when 93 octane is available, well, I've driven both and the differance wasn't noticable to me; you can look at it as an added measure of protection in case you get stuck having to buy 91. If your interested in this package deal then let me know and we'll work something out.

Thanks again and talk to you in a few weeks,
MER

BTW and to hijack my own thread, I've seen more Lambos in Bangkok than Imprezas. This might have something to do with the 50% tax they place on cars that with over 200hp (in addition to the outrageous car VAT). To avoid this there are strange lo-po versions of cars like a 200hp Evo and a M-B S230. Strange.

Haven't even thought about the price of the car yet...suggestions? It's had an easy life. No track time, no drag, no accidents. About 3k of the miles are from a XC trip from Washington. Brother-in-law owns a body shop so minor dings and scratches will be taken care of...
