Default Heat Shield??

So naturally....

I have this noise coming from somewhere underneath my car whenever I am sitting inside and close the door. It seems to happen more once the underside of the car has cooled (cold = metal contracting, thus loosening whatever the hell is floating around!)
I don't hear it when I'm driving- only when I'm in the car with the ignition off and shut the door.

Naturally, the dealer can't replicate it.
It's a hollow metallic sound...

Any advice??
Thanks!

I dont quite understand, there shouldnt be any soundas after shutdown. The only sound I can think of is the cooling of the exaust, which is normal. It should sound like pinging metal

yeah if it's from vibration(like slamming the door) and it's under the car, i'm sure the header's heat shields are a worthy culprit. wrap them in header tape! hahaha

Well if were going to get technical about spelling we might as well go all the way and correct YOUR punctuation. When you write with quatation marks all punctuation marks must be inside the quotations. You should have put the exclamation marks inside the quotes. Nexd time keep yer toooo sents ta yer self.
