Default Anyone want to party in DC on Friday July 29th? (My bday invite)

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=806730

If anyone would like to attend, just PM me your email and I'll send you the evite!

-------------------

From: John & Susan
Location: MCCXXIII / Spank
1223 Connecticut Ave NW,
Washington, DC
When: Friday, July 29, 10:00pm
Phone: (202) 277-0875

It's time for my annual birthday bash! Please, by all means pass this evite on to all of your friends. The more the merrier!

Here are the details:
- PREMIUM Top Shelf Open bar from 10pm - Midnight
- Complimentary hors d'oeuvres
- $3 Bud Lights after the Open Bar
- $15 includes cover, the two hour premium open bar & food (usually cover is $20, with no deals)
- All night access to VIP

The party will be in Spank, which is the VIP 3rd floor of 1223. Music will range from Hip Hop to House. They gave us a great deal, $15/person for all of this is crazy! The doors open at 9pm, if you would like to come earlier. Of course, the rest of the club is open to the public, as will Spank after midnight.

Dress Code: Fashionable - No baggy jeans, sneakers, athletic wear, work boots.

Please email us: info@dcmomentum.com with your guestlist requests. The cutoff is 7pm the Friday 07.29.05, but please try not to wait until the last minute, we need a headcount.

Example: "First Name Last Name + 3 guests"

Even if you aren't sure, email us and we'll add you to the list anyway.

Edit: The next night, Saturday we have Ton T.B. (formerly Three Drives) spinning at Fur

Are there any hotels next door for cheap? Also, its not going to be a flaming OT sausage fest is it? The public will show up too correct?

Correct, the club/lounge is open to the public. I have 180+ people invited thus far, not including NASIOC. I'll invite some more people when I find some more of my emails. We'll have the VIP room for ourselves from 10pm - Midnight, for the open bar. There are hotels everywhere, and it's easily Metro accessible.

You are inviting strangers to your birthday party and charging admission?

I'm not charging admission. The normal cover charge is $20, which includes nothing but entry. I worked out a deal with them, where anyone coming for my party only pays $15 cover AND gets top shelf open bar + food.

I think you are missing the point. If you invite people to a party you are supposed to supply the refreshments gratis. You are also supposed to invite friends and family, not random strangers off the internet. I just don't understand kids these days ...

Who do you think is paying for the cost of the drinks? $15 is just helping to take the edge off my bar tab at the end of the night. I don't mind people from NASIOC and their friends coming, but this is the only place that I'm advertising it.
