Default tire question...will it rub?

i'm looking to get new wheels... 17x7.5 rotas... will 225's rub on my 98 BD? does anyone run them and do you rub or what suspension mods do you have?

thanks

Yes, possibly... best bet is to go with 215's, I beleive.

I'me currently running 225 Pzero Nero's on BBS RK's, have GR2's, Whiteline Control Springs, etc. and do get a bit of rub during hard cornering. Not too bad, but a bit. I'll be going 215 on new tire purchase.

You might search tire size BD too

I've got Rota Downshifts with 225/45/zr17 tires on my 1995 BD. They do rub, but only in the back, and just barely. If I could shave 5mm or so off the fenders, then I'd be good... Just need to find someone to roll my fenders.

OT: there was thread going in the NW forum about fender rolling. Maybe you could get in on that.

I have 215/45/17 Pirelli Pzero Neros on Rota Tarmacs with GR2s and Whiteline Control springs with no rubbing that I'm aware of.

I agree with this from the experience I've had with various combo's...however some 225's are worse than others. Play it safe with 215's or get 225's and plan on some fender rolling.
