Most people here use Scoobymods as their DIY forum.

The headlight, shift pattern and cheap front lip mods are my favorites. Definitely will do the shift pattern and maybe the lip... gotta think about the other headlights.

I did the front lip last friday and it is nice looking. very subtle but gives the car a nice appearance. Just make sure to take your time and don't have the washers too close to the front. it makes the lip look rough.

I'll try the lip mod soon. It'll hold me over 'til I can get the V6 or P1 lip.

Earplugs!
Were you thinking of a sound dampening material in addition to what's in the car, or as some sort of replacement?

http://www.mcmaster.com/
Search for sound dampening

There's also
Dynamat (many different kinds)
BQuiet
BrownBread
High temp mastic
Spray-on stuff
Paint-on stuff

Lightbulb DIY STI steering wheel center hub re-paint (silver)

Here is the thread on how to re-paint the 05 STI's steering wheel center hub ring that sweet, sweet interior steel silver (to match the interior and break-up all that BLAH black on the steering wheel).

Looks good vs. the stock wheel, I never like what they did on the 04 STI steering wheel.
