Mappers/GIS users: Best projection for a state (PA)?

I need the best overall projection to equalize distortion and size for the entire state of PA. Any guesses?

State Plane Coordinate should be good.

Normally we like to use NAD 27 State Plane PA South... but when you have it on the scale of the state, the bottom curves alot.... The map is gonna be pretty large for people that don't normally use maps. I know distortion on this scale is inherent, but I wasn't sure if there was a better projection for the entire state.

This is why in most national maps, PA is split into east and west to minimize distoration.
