Default Need some good info on an exhaust for my OBS

Want to install a good catback exhaust on my '02 2.5L Impreza Outback Sport. I've heard that it's similar in fitment to a WRX. My Subaru dealer wants to install a Skunk2, but I'd prefer something that sounds like the Invidia or Helix (is that right?). Should sound like a flat four like the 914 I had back in the day (blurble, blurble, blaaaaatttt), not tinny and buzzy like a Civic.

Any words?

TIA (not T&A)
Kev

Pretty much any exhaust you put on your car will sound good. As for fitment, you should find something for an RS not a WRX because 1)the pipe diameter for an RS specific exhaust will be the right size for your car and 2) the WRX catback will not be long enough to bolt up to your cat.

I have the STi exhaust on my obs and I love it. No idea what kind of gains I actually got but it sounds a lot better and it certainly isn't too loud or anything.

Stromung, Greddy, Borla, Blitz, etcetera are what you'll be looking for; the ones that fit the 2.5RS and nothing with the piping diameter over 2.25 inches.
