Default Can't find parts. :( Darnit

I used google, but found NO Legacy specific parts (ie, hoods, suspension, etc).

I wish to turn my car into a rally car, but the absolute lack of parts... This sucks.

What sort of parts are you looking for? Is it for the 2000 L?

You're right. There are no parts at all. Time to sell the car.

Search for protege menace, he is in OT all the time. He can help you get started with a cheaper beater car. I know he did fairly well with a mid 90s Mazda.

Just remember, if you crash your car at the track of any race even it will not be covered under any insurance. If you are caught racing a car you might be subject to termination of your insurance.

Daily driver = bad race car

There are HEAPS of parts.
ECS-SUB-LEG-GT-50A-NT Legacy B4 and GT (2001-2005) $3875.00
ECS-SUB-LIB-B4-40A LEGACY B3 & B4 (2001-2004) $2299.00

Those are:
DMS 50mm Tarmac Coilovers
DMS 40mm Street Coilovers

When you say you want to turn your car into a rally car do you mean you want to make it look like a rally car, or drive like a rally car, or BE rally car?
If you are serious about rallying get RID of your Family sedan (or wagon?) and get a smaller cheaper impreza. Legacy with it's long wheel base, 3-500 extra pounds is NOT a good base for a rally car. If you just want it to look like a rally car, no prob. Roll it, put on some mudflaps, make a toilet paper tube cage and you're set.

Seriously though if you want to rally that car tihnk twice as it will cost you A LOT because you will damage it. If you are just thinking of doing TSD's or rally-x, no prob. Get some DMS, some under body protection (we do custom and I'm sure you can find pre-fabbed or custom down in oregon), get some mud flappers, a straight pipe so you sound like a bad ass rally car, some 15" speedlines or Compo's and some gravel tires and you're set.

If you want more info please fell free to e-mail myself and Pat Richard at sales@rocketrally.com

There is a bunch of stuff for 2000 Legacys, turn it in to a B4, you can buy that body kit. Go to http://www.tuningspec.com/usd/index.asp

Specifially, looking for a Snorkle, performance rally lights (doesn't have to be street legal, as they won't be used on the street, not looking at replacing stock headlights, looking for additional lights), a suspension with a lift that is strong enough to use in Rally competition, skid plates, brakes, etc.

One specific thing I'm looking for is a set of OZ racing gravel racing wheels (15").

I've already found gravel rally tires, and I will get the rollcage locally made.

This is going to be an actual competition rally car. It's also going to be my daily driver, so remaining emissions legal is a must (also, for the life of me, I CANNOT stand unnecessary noise, so no, no straight pipes).

Next: I'm sticking with the Legacy for this. To be honest, I perfer a slightly heavier car for this, it know it is a bit of a disadvantage, it does seem to suit my driving style better.

Damage? lol This car already has damage. Ironically, most of it was done before I bought the car, nothing major. I don't intend to roll this car into a tree or anything, but if I do, I will have safety equipment.

I'm at home right now on lunch break. I'll send a few emails and such later on. Thanks for input and suggestions. ^_^

Personally, I know at least two, maybe three, daily driver full rally cars. There is matt#1 on legacycentral, and a kid you owns a stripped CRX full rally prep he drives to Gunderson daily.

I swear I know one more, just cant remember

So as long as you are risky, go for it!

I don't want to try and disuade you from your choice as you are asking for info, not negative comments....but to answer the info question you need to know (which you seem to) that the Legacy (newer ones) is NOT meant to be a rally car. Not just because of the weight but also because of the length/wheelbase. There ARE 40mm DMS available but for heavy rally use that may not suffice. I don't know of any other company that offers a gravel oriented system for the Legacy. DMS can EASILY custom make a set of 50mm's for you based on the 40mm assembly (I would have to confirm this but we have had them make custom units for us before). Skidplates is not a problem. We could actually make them for you if you want. I have a legacy myself so we would make it to spec on my car. Lights aren't a problem either but you may have to fab up a mounting bar or pod depending on what you want. We don't deal with OZ for gravel wheels but do make orders of compomotive from time to time.

Anyways, if you want any more info or are interested in any of the parts mentioned please feel free to e-mail myself or Pat sales@rocketrally.com

Best of luck with your project.
