There's a line going to the evaporator core, so it's in there somewhere!

Hey guys. I have been reading through tons of info on reversing the manifold but I still want to be sure of a couple things.

I am running a GC8 with a 2.0L version 5 STI swap. I just want to clarify that everything will fit as it is difficult to find info directly related to my swap with the reversed manifold.

My main concerns are my stock fuel rails, hood fittment, and alternator relocation.

Fuel rails and fitting the piping under the hood I have heard mixed opinions are.
Can I use my stock fuel rails?
Will I have to cut out my hood?

As for relocating the alternator, most everything I read says that it is done using the compressor bracket (my A/C is already removed) and I will need to install an idler pulley (able to spin at least 9000RPM). I cannot seem to find good pictures of peoples alternator setups. Many posts are quite old and many of the pics are missing

The Sti5 manifold will require welding to reverse.
Because the runners on the left and right are not symetrically placed, you need to cut out the centre part (which is where the TB is bolted to)and then weld it back turned around.
You could also cant the TB a bit downwards, to gain some extra space for the TB to IC pipe hose.

Looks like a grimmspeed piece, and the grimmspeed sticker is a good indication, though I could be wrong.

Thanks,

I am running the new ECS Performance twin scroll kit along with their intercooler system. The engine is a EJ257 stock at the moment with ARP studs, stock headgasket, WRX heads proted and polished along with a killer valve job. The intake manifold is a WRX that has been ported and externaly smoothed out with JDM tgv and 8mm spacers.

I can't answer that question, you would need to ask them. It is supposedto be competitive with all the rest. I must say it is worth every penny they are asking! The quality of the fabrication is top notch not to mention the tuning. @ 18 psi I am producing 360whp on pump and getting 25mpg and it drives like stock. Boost comes on around 3300 to 3500 depending on load. At 22psi we hit 424Whp which was just the begining of the turbo efficency.

bout time you posted up some pics! Looking good, straight drag with that tiny radiator, just not a fan of having that much fuel in the engine bay.
