Default What to wear ?

My "new" '96 Legacy "L" sedan has no trunk spoiler.

To me the car looks naked with out one. Given the cars current performance capabilities, staying naked may be the best thing... Stealth mode doesnt get you noticed much.

The early (95-96) "LSi" trunk spoilers are ugly, IMHO. and the later "GT" spoilers have rather limited aerodynamic function, even if they do help the car look cool.

Has anyone seen/installed a nice looking aftermarket rear deck "spoiler"/"wing" on a second generation Legacy sedan that actually looks nice ? If so do you have any photos ?

Thanks !!!!

I have never ever seen a aftermarket wing that looked good on the the BD. I say give it the GT wing.

definately the gt wing. you will never go fast enough to make the areodynamic factor of a rear spoiler come into play. and the gt wing is very clean looking i think. not big and gaudy. and it doesnt take away from the stealth mode you talked about.

I'm personally a fan of the wingless look on most cars. But if anything, definately the GT wing.

no wing. detail car. bbs rims

just goes to prove that you don't have to "tart up" your car to make it look nice

similar.. from the "bling bling legacy thread"

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=136555

non-bbs but still clean

Yup.

Not a huge fan of his wheels, though.

Maybe one of those Honduh Civic "shopping cart handle" spoilers, maybe ?

Has anyone done one of those ?

My 2000 sedan is spoilerless, and will remain that way, unless I do a lip spoiler.

I like a nice lip spoiler too. Subtle and somewhat functional.

Exactly. This car will eventually be a rally car, so... Hmm, maybe do an STi transmission, with an H6 TT? Paint it blue, put an STi scoop and STi wing on it?

Ummm Nooo... It wasn't meant to be. but now that you mention it...
Yeah your spoiler doesnt exactly look "right", although I am not exactly sure what the right look is. For sure your car looks much better with that spioler, than mine does 'naked', though.

You did that scoup on your hood ? it looks factory.
HOW did you do it ?
Thanks!

HAHaaaa that is the question
Just for the that I get to post more pics of the car

look at the non ugly spoiler

As for the hoodscoop really strong silicon does the trick not the best way I've been told by people but it did come out good did it not.
Plus its easy to cut in if needed.

Are you still spoiler-less on that car, Jonathan, and if so, what color is it? I think I'll be following through on my ebay lip spoiler, so I need a spoiler-less trunk lid, preferably silver.

Yeah I am still without a spoiler on my "beater" '96 Legacy (which is several shades differing of dark metallic red - looking much like norabder's car, only not as nice), although I still have the Silver one with the spoiler as well.
