all i need now is the 3.90 rear end........

hopefully she will be back on the road soon........

1st and 2nd gear both drive and driven gears are broken.

i'll talk to you when i get a chance andrew - all i need is the case (only the trans part, not the transfer case), you might be able to sell the gearset if the gears disintegrating didnt take out the synchros for some $$, and the transfer case to dan.

the WRX 5MT driveshaft should work just fine in a 5MT GC with an R160 rear differnetial - if you're using that R180 you had you may have issues.

Well,

If the R-180 won't work I have a few other rear diffs (R-160). Besides, who needs a 3.90 FD when I can have a 4.44

im sorry if this sounds stupid but is the transfer case where the front differential is housed and the transmission case where the actual gearset is......

transfer case houses the center differential and the transmission case holds the front diff and the gears (1-4 at least.. 5 hang out the back of it)

joe and dan---if you both want different parts this could work out nicely for everyone......

joe---were you looking for anything to be working in the case at all, because we had to rip it all apart to get my axle stubs out for the swap......
