Default Could use a bit of advice.

Alright, as a disclaimer, yes, I know this post isn't about a Subaru, however, in all my searching, this is the only car forum that isn't full of blathering idiots, and I figure maybe here I can find some help. On to the meat of the topic.

A buddy of mine drives a 2002 Dodge Intrepid SE with the 2.7l motor that he rather likes. He has a reasonably significant amount of money to put down on making it a "performance" car, and while I've done all I can to convince him to just buy a used car that's more easily moddable, he wants to do it to the Intrepid, so here I am.

One of the primary things he wants to do is add forced induction to the car, which, from some of the unorthodox forced induction applications I've seen around, I'm sure is possible. However, he's been talking to a few people here in Chicago, and people are telling him it's impossible. I told him it's probably impossible with a kit, but I'm sure with some fabrication it's doable.

What I'm curious about, is what would you all reccommend, both for superchargers or turbochargers, and any good shops in or around Chicago that may be able to do the work. Also, if you think it's impossible, a quick explanation would be helpful, because he's hell bent on doing this.

Thanks in advance for the help.
