Default scuba weekend (pics)

interesting weekend.. started a little weird, turned out great







first person to complain about the size of the pics has to resize them, rehost them, and PM me links to the newly resized, hosted pics so i can edit the big ones out

We were looking for an abandoned US Naval acoustic/laser research facility. There were/are actual chambered underwater labs that still remain. But we were unable to locate the facility. I've done some reading and we're trying to get a better idea of where it is in regards to the islands around it. There is also the hull of a newer boat in that area as well I've learned.

We'll go back for it when we've got enough tanks. we were 2 tanks down and could only do a single each.
That and Matt needs a REAL wetsuit.. I'd have been fine down below 40 feet past the termolcline if I'd put my hood on.

crossing that thermocline nearly took my breath away. i had to breathe almost twice as fast while my body got used to the cold... went from bathwater to an ice wash in about three seconds
