I was driving to school monday morning and came to the conclusion that yokohama pradas+snow=not good. What are some good winter tires that aren't studded?

Agree, check that forum. You'll get tons of different suggestions. Also, go to Tirerack, I believe they have user submitted ratings for all their tires.

If you go to the tire/wheel technical forum there is a slight chance you might see a post by me about my new Nokians and Rota Boost winter wheels.

I'll be going on my 4th winter w/ my Wintersport M2's. Doesn't wear fast and good winter traction. The M3's are the replacements.
