Default 98 RS driveshaft wont fit

i have 98 jdm forrester tranny and rear end in my swap and my RS driveshaft doesnt want to fit in the jdm tranny.. what driveshaft do i need? and where would i source one? heres some pics

Try a Legacy driveshaft, that's what mine looks like

might have to end up changing the output shaft on the tranny .. swapping the whole rear section would only have to buy a gasget

It because of that brown curly hair, What were you really doing with that shaft? No but seriously it should fit try the out put shaft swap.

Hmmm...my Legacy shaft has the alignment key like the RSís so thatís not it.

More than likely youíll either need to change the output shaft or get a Forester drive shaft and get it cut to the length of your RS shaft. Any quality driveshaft shop who can work with metric tube can do this by combining your RS shaft with a Forester front yoke section.

That's really weird. They should be the same. I have a low mileage USDM MY00 MT Forester shaft if you're interested. Same length as an Impreza shaft. PM me an offer
