Default Leaking Anti Freeze

There is a small dia. metal pipe on top of the engine between what I think is the ac comp. and the oil dipstick. It contains hi press anti freeze. To cap this pipe subaru uses a rubber cap and a spring fitting like a pipe clamp. The rubber cap sprung a leak. No dealer in my area stocks them.
Does any one know the part I'm refering to? I.E help!

Don't even know what car you are referring to.. This forum covers pre-2002 USDM subaru turbo cars.. there are at least 3 distinct configurations in that category

Does not matter what motor you are talking about. I know what you mean. Those lines are return lines from the heater core, and the turbo coolant. They go down to behind the thermostat and coolant always flows thru that even with stat closed. Go to any auto parts store and look in the Help section, with red cards. They will have an assorted pack of ends to seal with, then use a real hose clamp. Thats a great place to burp air when filling. That rubber gets the heat first diring warm up, and the whole time motor is running, and will crack even befor the upper hose, which will be next on your list. Have you serviced the system recently? Throw in a Crucial fail safe stat!

Eh? I don't have anything even remotely resembling his description on either of my 'pre-2002' turbo motors... thats why I asked.

I'm sure your thermostat housing is in the same place as every other Subaru motor, all our cars have the heater core return going back down there. And most of our turbo cars also have a hard line going back there. Thats the only coolant lines around the drivers side head. Black hard lines. You got em somewhere. I've never owned a pre-2002 Suby, but I own aEJ22.

Yes, the Tstat housing is in a similar place on most soob motors. But enough other things are different on the Pre EJ motors (EA82T in my case)that the original description didn't make sense if applied to them . Thats why I asked for a specific motor. For example, "between the AC compressor and the oil dipstick tube" could be anywhere, as on my motor, they are on opposite sides of the motor. Also, regardless of the placement of things, I still don't have a 'rubber cap' on any of my coolant lines. I know, I have had a number of these old turbo motors out and just got done rebuilding one. Theres even a generation of turbo motors before mine that is a bit different (OHV-EA81T), so again, thats why I asked.
