Default Why does my mp3 deck skip folders sometimes?? It's an Alpine deck

Does anyone else have this problem?? I'll burn an MP3 cd with each folder being a different album or genre, but the deck always seems to skip the first 1, 2 or 3 folder like they aren't even there.

I have yet to make a cd that plays everything i put on it....

any tips on how to burn mp3 CDs for alpine decks??

thanks.

I'm sure someone out there is going to blame it on the way you burn the cd, but Alpine's quality isn't like it used to be. If you want it to read properly, get a Pioneer or Kenwood.

are you sure the folders had MP3s and not WMAs or MP4s or the like?

I agree. My 9830 screws up every now and then (just stops playing an mp3, skips, etc). It's not frequent at all (maybe like 4 times in 7 months) but my JVC that it replaced never had any issues. I would've kept that one had it been XM ready.
