Experiences with Element Tuning EWG flanged uppipe?

Hey everyone,

I was wondering whether anyone would be willing to share their experience installing and running the Element Tuning EWG uppipe. More specifically, has anyone experienced any clearance problems running this uppipe with an APS downpipe? Thanks in advance for any advice you may be able to offer.

It's been great!! Extremely solid construction.

I know of one other, no problems.

thanks for the reply, glad to know that you have found it to be a reliable piece so far. Are you running the 38mm or 44mm EWG?

i had the element up-pipe w/38mm and i was very happy with it. great overall product.

I was looking at this uppipe too. I would recommend emailing Phil @ Element Tuning and asking him. That's what I did to ask about clearance issues with my TurboXS downpipe and he got back to me very quickly and is very friendly. I'm going to say that you probably will not have any problems with an APS downpipes, it looks like the uppipe w/ WG will work with just about all downpipes out there except for the TurboXS downpipe since it's 4 inches at the top. Phil recommended some motivation with a mallet for the TurboXS downpipe and it should fit perfectly. I know it can be done since World One is selling a SZ49 w/ the Element tuning uppipe and "modified" TurboXS downpipe off of one of their shop STis currently.

I'm still a few months away from a turbo upgrade but the Element uppipe w/ WG looks sweet and I'm hoping to run it on my STi.

Thanks for the informative reply. I did speak to Phil at Element Tuning as you suggested but have yet to hear back from him on the fitment. I guess if worse comes to worse it will just require some minor modification. The replies to my post have given me a good degree of confidence in Phil and his product, I look forward to receiving it soon.
