Mine came today! Connectors are the real deal high temp silicone (not just crap rubber), triple layer reinforced. Pipes are coated and seem to be about 2mm thick aluminum, all hose clamps are the nice kind, V-band clamps with anodized hardware, wide and has the smooth inner slider to keep from pinching hose. The IC is awsome, bar and plate design. side entry/exit, 24" x 12" x 4". Super big core, the whole IC is much larger with the side tanks. Yes, there are fins inside the IC. Looks like a sweet deal so far. I'll post pics at WRXfanatics.com soon (tommorow, too F'n hot today, 110F++ heat)
IC seems just as good as any I have ever seen. I bought mine from Ebay, dudes trader name was something like godspeedabc. Real name is Chung in CA. I won an auction, and asked for the biggest IC core he had. Under $400!! Plenty more left! Pipes have the raised ring to help with sealing at the ends. IC shipped in less than one week from CA to VA, payment-to-delivery.

Get it on there, because if this thing is that great, and actually installes well, I am all over it.

Also, is this the one you got?

That sure looks like a tube/fin core...

Well, I am missing a few things on my car (ABS, bumper support, everything but motor), but I'll post pics of everything, without bumper on car. I'm sure it will go smooth, even with the larger core. The ends are the same, but core is 4" thick, not 3", or 2 1/2". There are some smaller cores out there, like 20" wide, not 24" like mine. Shop around!

Mine is not the tube and fin. Search his other items, find the XX large IC. Thats what Chung sent me. That's the kit I bid on. You can just ask him a question, he will be gald to help.

No, I do not think so, I have not totaly unwrapped every pipe. They are shipped great, no scratches, finish looks like almost chrome, but more like polished aluminum. Chung has adapters in stock and BOVs for super funny cheap. I passed on thet. No time for more parts.

Core will sit on metal brace and has mounting bosses. Drill from bottom up. My piping kit is for a 24" wide core. He also has a DIFFERENT kit for the narrower 20" cores. My IC was an upgrade, it has a much better design, and is 4" thick, and the inlet/outlet are in the same location.

You think any bigger will help? Will it be exposed with the bumper cover on?

No. What ever the bracket is that already exists on your car. It holds on the lower center of bumper cover, infront of lower radiator bracket. I will take pics soon of the skeleton of my car with IC. I'm thinking just two holes, a little trimming, done.

I need help trying to post a picture. Anyone?

And for anyone thinking about buying the 12" core be prepared for a little bit of fitment issues. It isnt the easiest thing. What I did was welded a steel bar from one side of the bumper beam to the other and cut the whole middle section out, and drilled 2 holes into the bar and mounted it. It fits but barely. what I would recomend is, find a flat piece of steel not square, I used a square piece and my hood has a hard time finding the latch I have to push the hood down.

I have a few pictures none under the hood but a few of the core installed. If anyone is interested in seeing them let me know.
