Default When is the point where your body begins storing calories?

For example, you need 2500 calories a day to maintain your body weight. Obviously if you continuously take in 100 calories a day, your body will just store whatever calories coming in as fat. But what is the threshold, where your body will not go into "defend" mode?

No, when does your body not think you are starving it? Like say if you cut your daily caloric intake to 1500 calories.

It varies from person to person and it's pretty difficult to try and get accurate numbers. Theorethically, it's:

Intake of daily calories-[BMR+calories needed for daily activity]=excess calories which are stored as fat or glycogen

BMR=minimum amount of energy needed to keep you alive. There's a conversion table that gives you this amount based on your height and weight but it's total B.S. b/c it doesn't take into account body types. Basically, once you meet your bodily requirements, your body will start storing energy.
