Default T1r vs. R-s2.... 245/40 vs. 245/45

Currently:
Toyo T1-S 245/40/17
Rota Torque 17x8 ET48
Tanabe GF210 Springs (progress coilovers going on sometime this week)

Question:

I was originally set on the Toyo T1r, but the more i've been reading, the Rs-2 seems like a better deal (possibly greater dry grip, $40 less per tire). Unfortunately, the kook doesn't come in a 245/40/17 size, only a 245/45/17.

Overall diameter would increase .9'' going to a 245/45 from a 245/40. Is anyone running a 245/45/17? Will this fit?

So i'm looking for people to suggest one of these setups:

235/40/17 Kook
245/45/17 Kook
245/40/17 T1r

Note: I realize the diameter change will slightly lengthen the gearing, and in my book, this is good (I have an sti, short gears). Plus, I really dont want to go down to a 235.

So basically, as long as the 245/45 will fit, i want to go for it...unless anyone has any outstanding reservations against the r-s2 versus the t1r.

thanks

I'll bet a 245/45 will rub something fierce in the rear...

....you might get away with the 245/45 if you get camber bolts....I would also get at least an 8" wheel, too....

Check...

Is Hankook going to release more sizes in the rs2?
