Question !?!?!URGENT!?!?! 18*7.5 +40mm offset....?

Will a 18" * 7.5" wheel with a +40 mm offset fit on a '04 WRX? What is the widest tire that would work with this wheel?

+40mm offset is pretty far from stock. Stock is +53 I believe. I can't say for sure that it won't work, but I don't think I'd try it.

Did you read the "Offset information..." sticky thread at the top of this forum?

The nominally optimum tire for 18x7.5 would be a 225x40/18. But with that offset, not only are you quite a ways away from the design (wheel bearing loading; steering geometry) tire/wheel centerline, you'll almost certainly rub the fender/liners under some load and turning conditions - even if you don't have any problem just driving down the road in average conditions.
