Default A 1.8-2.2T How To Write Up?

Once i finish up this swap (EJ22T into EJ18 using 1.8 ECU), would anyone be interested in seeing a basic write up of all the quirks you have to do to get it to work? there isnt too many odd things, just re routeing coolant lines, switching sensors, some other stuff, in order for the legacy motor to work with the impreza ECU. im suprized more people havent done this swap, besides the fact that you cant get away with it in Cali because of emissions.. but still. Basically it would be info i compiled from other members and things we figured out in order to get it to work.

anyways, just curious if i should or if id be wasting my time.
thanks
-nathan

I would definitely want a copy of that. I'll probably go that route for my next swap, when I find a coupe for really cheap.

I would like a copy but how would a 96 Brighton ECU work with the older motor? Or will it?

I am not sure how different OBDII would be, but im guessing it wouldnt have an effect on being able to do the swap.
I have encountered a problem with the swap and although it runs good, it looks like ill need a legacy radiator making it less straight forward of a swap, but ill try and put something together when i figure it out.

hmm. im interested to read. do a write up when u get a chance, it should be applicable to the OG EJ20g JDM legacy motors as well, i may have to pull some stunts and run somthing like yours with a ej20g on a friends car (that had no wiring harnesS)

ya i have finished the swap, it still runs rough, but ill try and put something together soon. i may eventually switch to running it on the stock legacy ECU but im not sure. (that would be a lot of wiring)
