Default Tire question

Will 205 tires mount on the standard Baja wheels?

because the tire is is a ratio

225-60-16 225 tire with, 60 side wall hight 60%of the with, 16 wheels size

Now i have been look and because i don't have my laptop with me i can't besure but some truck tires come in a 205-65-16 they don't look very agressive (I want the bf mud ones like i had on the jeep) but they are more truck like.

Exactly! For some reason there are more Light Truck tires available in 205 sizes than in 225. I want the stiffer, taller sidewalls that a truck tire will give. I don't care that much about stellar road performance. I don't race or rally, I slog and crawl. :-) I need better snow, mud and wet traction.

baja wheels are 6.5" wide so yes a 205 will fit, depending on sidewalll.

If anyone knows for sure, be sure to post it. I would like to replace the Potenzas, as they are up to 49,000 miles, and need to get replaced before snow season. I for one would like a more agressive tread for the winter, and for mud. But I don't know what will fit the stock wheels and still clear the wheelwells. Mike
