Default aftermarket rims for 04 wrx

I am looking to get some aftermarket rims and new tires for my 04wrx. I am new to this so bear with me. I am looking for a summer tire with maximum rubber on the road. What is the ideal size of rim, and offset for the tires. Any siggestions would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

The widest you can go without hysterics is 8.5", 235 wide, and +42/+50 offset, beyond that you're looking at rolling the fenders. You'll find that most Nabisco Racer-Fan-Boys prefer 17X8 wheels, others prefer 18X8.5.

My 2 favorites?

WORK Emotion CR Kai in bronze...

Prodrive PFF7 in Gunmetal (can't remember the exact name)

To me, there is no third choice.

I suggest you plainly state why you want new rims and tires. Fill in the blanks unless you want buckshot answers.

I want new rims for ___________. (Looks, lighter weight, larger size, etc.)
I want new tires for _____________. (wet weather traction, dry weather traction, autocrossing, drag racing, etc.)
I live in _____________ and the most common types of weather conditions are __________.
I will/will not keep my stock wheels and tires for possible snow conditions.
My budget is $XXX for wheels, $XXX for tires, or $XXXX for the whole shebang.

Alright

Sorry for the first post. I want the rims for lighter weight and looks. I will be using them for summer tires for dry weather. I live in Florida so I have no need for winter tires. My budget is in the 2000$ range

Thanks

many people who are buyings rims for a daily driver go with 17x7.5 and buy a set of Rotas. they are cheap, light, and strong with many styles and colors to choose from. depending on your choice of tires expect to pay about $1,200 for a package shipped.

When I look on SubdyDude and Tire Rack they dont offer much in terms of 17x8 or 18x8.5. Do you know of any other good places to look?
