I will be tracking a WRX with OEM alignment specs. I would like more front neg. camber. I was wondering if I can just mark the camber bolt (to return it to OEM after the track session) and max out front neg camber? What effect will this have on front toe? Thanks.

You should just get an alignment with the bolt full negative and 0 toe, then drive it like that all the time. Its toe that kills tires and not camber. -1.5 camber and 0 toe will not wear your tires unevenly on the street.
Maxing out front camber w/o adjusting toe, will lead to quite a bit of front toe out with will a) eat the insides of the tires and b) might cause some mid corner push. -Tom |

I am between track/autoX cars so this WRX will only get tracked a single time. I will not have the time to get an alignment before the event so I was just wondering what a quick and dirty DIY alignment would do. It sounds like I would have to balance the advantages of more neg. camber with the disadvantages of some front toe out. I'm tempted to try it since I know it has around -.5 camber in front right now which= terminal push on all parts of corners (entry, mid, exit).
I guess I could just dial in a little front toe in as well but I am not sure I have the time or inclination to do this.Quote:

I would toe in just a tad after the camber change. Takes 30 secs a side.
