Subaru Stars Wanna clear the garage?

Well, the '03 is nearing the 36k mark, and I'm starting to amass the parts needed to turbocharge it.

Since I work for an IHI and MHI Turbo distributor, I've got that part covered, with many choices.

Here's where it gets fun.....

Any Baja Turbo owners out there who have modified their units, and are looking to make some Jack, let me know if you have, and are willing to sell at a reasonable price (remember, I'm in the business, and I'm not one to pay more than wholesale price..... ):

Stock Turbo manifolds
Stock Turbo up-pipe
Stock Turbo downpipe, with or without cats
Stock Intercooler and any associated plumbing..
Any other goodies that you may have removed from a stock Baja Turbo.

I don't want any upgrade parts, but thanks for thinking of me.

I love this car, and I don't intend to get rid of it. I figure that adding the turbo won't be a big deal, and with the help of a few of the brethren, I can finish this project and get some relatively useless items out of your attic, basement, or whatever.

Let me know....my e-mail is in my profile....

Thanks,

Mike

Mike I'm glad your doing this it's a really cool thing. I'm saving up for that myself. These are the problems i have found so far.

Boost don't go over 6 PSI our N/A cars have high compression
Engine management ya need some to fine tune your car
Intercooler Well let me just say i'm going with a front mount to keep the peple guessing

Now that said I'm saving up for the Rallitek turbo upgreade that has everything listed under consderation so there is no hard work.

Cliffhanger, when the stock TMIC comes out, let me know. I'd be interested in it.

I realize that high boost will be a problem with stock fuel/ignition maps, and I'm not looking to take this thing to the moon. But you know what?

Six pounds of boost always beats none....

What they'll be asking themselves is why you're going with all that extra weight and dough when you aren't getting any more bang for it.

Just my 2 cents, or maybe you just didn't know

Did you wait until 36K to install the turbo because you would be out of warranty? You still have powertrain warranty, and installing a trubo would effect that. Maybe you don't care...just thought you might not know

Nah, the mileage thing isn't really based on warranty issues as much as just timing.

I learned a long time ago to be my own warranty center anyhow. Except for a few little glitches, these cars are pretty bullet-proof.

I was going to do it sooner, but haven't had the time.

And you thought correctly.....I live 4 miles from the entrance to Disney. Last year we got hit hard with 3 out of 4 of the hurricanes.

I need to change that though...I don't want to jinx this year
We don't need to go thru that again this year

Well, lookee there.

That's three (3) Baja owners in the state of Florida...I'm in Tampa, and although you'd think differently, for some reason, we're nearly hurricane-proof here. I've lived here all my life (I'm 37), and we've never had a direct hit.

Next one's got my name on it, though....
