Default Whats with the Tire Noise !?!?!?

I hope I am not the only one who doesnt notice tire noise.

I hear lots of copmlaints from the stock 070's to other aftermarket tires. I never noticed any tire noise after changing from my WRX to the STi. Maybe its the TBE or the Skid Row/Scorpions mix CD's

Anyone else?

...just a rant..........

If you want tire noise get a set of Yokahama ES100's. I can't wait to burn them up so I can get them off my car! AAARRGGGhghh!!!

Bah, get a set of Falken Azenis Sports, the ones with the older style tread pattern. Those will redefine the term "tire noise" for you.

And it only gets worse as the tires wear down.

I agree with the first post... Blitz Nur Spec and Pink Floyd / Tom Petty I hear no tires noise, unless I'm spinning them

Azenis are definitely loud for my taste. Gotta love their grip though considering their price tag!

My dad's 330i sport with ES100's... they are pretty loud. It's almost like they resonate in the cabin lol.

Hah! You have not heard noise until you try some Yoko 032s -- think lifted pickup with mudders...

and it is pretty funny that I have also noticed that 40 mph really seems to be a speed that generates some resonance

The OEM tires for an STi, Potenza RE070's.....

I am getting rims w/235 35 18 BFG KDW 2's. Maybe I will roll up all my windows, turn the A/C on low, with no music, and drive like my wife maybe then I can hear some tire noise.

My STI was quiet the first 10k on those tires too. Now, unless the pavement is really fat and newly paved, they are louder than my tbe! I like the tires though, and they are cheap if you get them on ebay.
