Why would you skimp on equipment that will hold a very heavy piece of machinery over the top of your fragile body?

They're fine. I use the ones a Harbor Freight when I'm at my buddy's house because the others don't jack quite as high. It simply makes the car easier to get under. I do, however, hate the fact that my chassis gets bent slightly.

Those are fine, but I've gotten the Craftsman set just like it on sale for $25 before.

Yes, excellent jack stands. I have a set from harbor freight as well, but my favorites are the ones I got at Wal-Mart for $20. The best stands I own!

Just check the weight capacity of the actual stands.

David,
If your bending your chassis, you don't have the jack in the right place. |
