Default Anyone know how to paint the 05 Legacy Grill?

Hi.. i just have a question, anyone know to paint the stock 05 grill, because i saw one of a black legacy did it, it looks really great, but he told me i cant just spray paint the grill, it has to do some work on it before u spray so

anyone know whats the method to paint the grill?

i dont really know what it looks like, but im assuming he sandblasted the grille first to rough it up a bit and get rid of chrome? or other stuff?, and then painted it.

some of the guys there have tried different things to their grilles.

Sand blasting is to much. Unless you use fine sand. Just rough it up with sand paper (400 grit or higher). If your using spray cans the first coat should be light just cover it. Then hit it hard after that. I would do like 3 coats. Then maybe 2 coats of clear. It should come out pretty good.
