I just got my new wheels in today... Thought I'd share a few photo's.. 18"x8.5 +44
Trying to decide on some tires right now... looking to go with a 245/35/18 or a 255/35/18... any suggestions?

Those are some sweet wheels

zasy: I'm going to make a trip to The Tirerack tomorrow so they should be mounted by tomorrow.
Jweiss: After rolling the rear fender lip the 255's should fit... If not 245's definately will... BlackWagon: I bought these new from Raja at Euro Auto Concepts. They just came in after a couple month wait. They're not the 17"s that are still for sale if that's what you are referring to. Last edited by ErrolR1919; 07-30-2005 at 01:19 AM. |

the offset is +44 not +40...
But yeah, I'm going to see what setup I can manage. I will most likely go with some 245's but just want to see about the 255's. Thanks for the input Last edited by ErrolR1919; 07-30-2005 at 01:19 AM. |

There is no one-size will (or will not) fit blanket statement that can be made regarding a 18x8.5 +44 and 245/35 or 255/35 tires.
Depending on the particular tire selected, the 255s may very well fit, while a 245/35 in a different model (even from the same manufacturer) may not. Tire sizes are anything but absolute... I've seen .5-inch or more section width & tread width difference in this size, mounted on the same width wheel. OA diameter is going to play a role too, along with ride height (aftermarket springs? coilovers?) as well as camber. I've had shaved 225/45/17s rub on rolled fenders when mounted on 8.5 +48 ('04 STi). |

^^ Good point. That's why I will be testing a few different tires/sizes.

Well went to tirerack today. I had trouble finding tires that were the size I wanted. I ended up with some 245/35/18 Goodyear Eagle F1's...
Here's a few quick snapshots: I will take some better pictures with a better camera later. Last edited by ErrolR1919; 07-30-2005 at 03:44 PM. |

I ditched the stock side skirts for painted wrx ones and JDM aero guards front and rear.
The car is lowered on coilovers, I'm going to drop it some more tomorrow after an alignment... |
