Default Award-Winning BE!

Well, I can't say that this is anything remarkable, because it certainly isn't.

I won second place in the Subaru class at a recent (mainly) import car show.

It's not remarkable because there were only two WRXs there Both had stuff done to them, and to be honest I didn't catch exactly which one of them won.

Surprised the crap out of me when I heard my club name, which they say first before car make/model, then your name. My car has a stock exterior minus clear corners, and a bunch of interior things.

I guess that's the benefit to going to small shows

I can't wait until next summer, when my car will (hopefully) not look stock anymore!

Fibuz, where on earth did you get that B4 grill? I am crazy jealous of you because of it. Don't you have JDM tail lights, too?

Does anyone know if the BE badges - door and trunk - have the clips that actually go through the body? I'd like to know before I attemtp to debadge them, in order to not waste any time (and possible car injury).

I'm also thinking about picking up a used grill or something and hacking it apart to see what I can create.

Nothing like modding on a budget!!

Thanks for all the congrats too, everyone. It's nice to have a small section of NASIOC that actually sees some potential in a mainly-stock car!

The grill is actually a grill off of an 04 Legacy, with a B4 badge attached (Grill ~130 shipped new, badge ~20 shipped used). Yes, I have JDM tails too....along with a bunch of other jdm goodies. (im cookoo for jdm-puffs).

I would assume(very strongly) that the door badges are just glue. Everything on the trunk is glue EXCEPT the LEGACY portion, which produces 2 holes.

Feel free to search 'threads started by fibuz' for my hack-job grill project that I had on before this new grill

Awesome man, thanks!

Too bad you're way down in Arizona, otherwise I'd require that we hang out often. I'd love to have another BE homie to hang out with here locally. Problem is every one I've seen was driven by some old lady.

Good news, though: BEs are very rare in my city, so I'm fairly original in these parts! Which is why I definitely can't wait until the exterior starts getting some more attention.

What is the deal with all of your bumpers? On all of your cars it looks like there is a vertical crack between the passenger side foglight and the liscense plate. It looks like a clean crack like its meant to be there but its not on the driver side. What is going on?

It is meant to be there! I am fairly certain (haven't looked in a while) that it's our tow hook behind that panel.

Oh and since when are there Japanese cars in Wisconsin? Most of my family is there and when I go visit I see almost all American cars and trucks and thats it. We were driving some Nissan rental and some guys in a truck kept honking and yelling stuff at us because we were driving a foreign car.

You must've went to a really hick part of Wisconsin then

I'm in the almost very southern part of WI - right under Milwaukee. I see Subaru's and other countless imports every day. Just none that look like my car, which I love

Aken - Like Fibuz said, every badge except for the "Legacy" on the back is just glue. The Limited badges took a little while to get off on mine but as you can see they definately do come off.

NickLippert - That crack on our bumper is a tow hook cover.
