Went by to check 'em out... Cute. Much better looking in person, than in pictures. Unfortunately, my Legacy became the star of the show, with lots of photographs that I believe will be sent off to Subaru for the "Drive" magazine they send out.

"Hey, can I get those Prodrive rims for my Toyota?" "Nope. Subaru only."

Boy, that feels good to say.

Want engine mgmnt?
I sell ViPec's ECU's

Cool Evanston Subaru has 2 WRX`s in stock and waiting for you.

White and red stick
I took one for a spin yesterday and It`s very nice, I want one now.

Anyway ask for Derek, salesperson
847-869-5700, if you mention my name I get $50 bucks. (Greg)

The only problem that sucks is that they want to sell them close to MSRP, if you want a deal - you gotta pre-order.

Good luck

I stopped by the local Subaru dealer in Peoria last night (they were closed; I work late, long story), to find a new outback sport out front with all the Foresters and pontiacs they normally sell. In the back, still filthy, was a red WRX 5-speed. Looks just like the red on the 2001. So that answers my question.

I do have a question avout the wheels on the Sport. They were 16" alloys, looking a lot like those I saw on a WRX in CAR magazine a year ago. Does anyone knoe anything about the rims? I think the market for OEM 16" rims has just doubled, if you count those expensive BBS wheels.

What's really strange about the new WRX is that the new rims are only 16x6.5". Did they think that they can get away with 6.5" width just because they increased their track width on the new cars?

It seems to be another cost cutting scam to me from Subaru.

'98-01 RS = no remote fuel door, no trunk light.

'02 WRX = no sunroof, standard alarm, 7" wide wheels, no red stitched steering wheel or shift knob.
